Why the mad rush for souvenirs at weddings? Anyone knows why???????

First and foremost, i'm not against "souvenirs" but my hubby-to-be should know that it's not a do-or-die affair, i'm not one of those intending brides who would faint if souvenir is not shared at her wedding, i have seen folks plan for wedding and they place priority on things that are not really important, why go indebted because of souvenir? This weekend, i attended two weddings, not as a blogger but i went to catch my groove as all work and no jokes make me a less creative person the first one really brought this striking topic to me about "Souvenirs". Well, some people think its only courteous to acknowledge invited guests to the wedding by giving them gifts in return, and then my question is why give only those who gave you gifts why not give all who attended the wedding? cos the truth is all who attended should be thanked for paying their way through to the event, abi tfare no be something? I did a small research on souvenirs and i discovered that yes even in the Western world they have provision for gifts for invited guests, but again we must also check the time for their wedding preps as most of them plan and prepare for weddings in a span of one year, so they have a list of all invited guests and plan adequately for all things. But, in Nigeria, i have realised that our weddings is primarily a party for our parents as most of them wan use us shine and we end up paying for their party where they'll have reunion of all their friends in the name of "our wedding". So even when we don't plan for souvenirs, they arm twist us to do it and this is why young men think they must become billionaires first before they settle down because the cost of marriage these days is on the high side, now how about cut off the souvenirs and do it only if its affordable and don't borrow for souvenirs when you have a life after the wedding called "marriage" and for someone like me who loves to have her honeymoon in Barbedos, won't that cut into my hubby's budget? Future hubby take note of our honeymoon spot and surprise me, i know you read my blog so*winks* no fall my hand oooo. lol.
I saw folks scrambling for sieves and jotters and i kan de wonder if dem no get sieve before? also annoyingly the couple were giving out the items according to the size of the gift given, now isnt that alarming? I also think that makes the wedding rowdy cos folks have to come upstage to exchange gifts when they can drop it at the back and receive acknowledgements too. For security too, it wasnt too safe for the couple to handle those gifts because of bad belle pipo, not trying to scare anyone but hey we freaking live in africa and stuff happens mehn!!!! That said, view the photos of the scramble after the cut...... more on this topic later.

Ladies: Make your nights more memorable part 3.....

Your wedding night is very special and its the best part of your life. You get out of your wedding clothes and wear your fancy clothes, and make it special.
  • Flirt with yourselves, hold hands, caress and kiss each other, touch each other's hand and steal some kisses.
  • Fill your room with the right fragrance: Good scents carry an emotional pleasure to the brain, so you can make brilliant choices like trying lavender, rose water, maybe strawberry would make sense to you if you like it.
  • Set the music tone: Make sure to play something nice on your CD or your laptop and make sure the night is romantic enough.
  • Play sexy games: Yes.... Gurls you can make your night start up with sexy games and that would help you play, play and then you can REALLY PLAY away into the night.

Ladies make your wedding night memorable....part 2.

Heyyy Gurls.....Still on the series of decorating your room for your wedding night. More tips here:
  • Ladies make sure you have new lingerie for that night, most brides still think *white* is the in-thing but you could try on other colors like red, lilac, pink and other attractive colors. Nothing is wrong with white but guys would always want you to be creative.
  • Don't overlook the use of candles and scented ones at that, they give your room the alluring presence that you want.
  • Also, cool music at the background is not a bad idea, this sets up a good tone.
  • One thing you should not forget to do is *don't go to bed with bad breath, brush your teeth well and enjoy your first kiss. If that is really your first kiss.*winks*. More on this series. Keep your eyes on this blog.

Ladies: Make your wedding night memorable.......

Strangely, in Nigeria most couples just go over a wedding night without really experiencing the thrills and fun it should come with, well, good thing is times are changing and so are trends, so as part of your wedding plans you should include plans for your wedding night and of course*winks* your wedding bed.
Here are some tips for the ladies:
Get a good hotel and be sure that they'll let you add some aesthetics to your room.
Find a good blend of your favourite colors and decorate your bed, adding flowers and candles are not out of place, because years down the line, you'll discover you had a blast of a wedding night.
The truth is guys couldn't really be bothered how good
the bed looks even though they like clean sheets, all they
want to do is rest and ermmmm *clearingmythroat* so Gurl!
just spice it up and make your night so romantic.
Find dim lights and make sure the room is perfumed.
Take every distraction away eg phones, tablets etc and enjoy
your FIRST NIGHT together.
Remember ITS YOUR FIRST NIGHT WITH THE SPOUSE
YOU ALWAYS LOVED TO BE WITH.
Have fun Gurls!!!!!!
