The WeddingGraces WedReview- #BenWedsElla 19th September 2015

Ok Peeps! Here's the part we all get excited to see and read because  a lot of guests were probably not disposed to attend the wedding so

#TeamWeddingGraces gave y'all live streaming on every step of the way. So here we go...... for my review at this wedding, i'll ask for every one's participation so as you read you can post your comment and of course you can disagree to always agree on something.

Let's start with the couple and their clothing. Don't get me wrong, the review is not to condemn any event but to critique it so the intending Brides can learn, unlearn and model after some things which are the ESSENTIALS at weddings.

THEIR CHOICE OF COLORS:
They had a mix of royal blue, red and silver, nice colors but what do you think about it? Well,
for a perfect blend, dim colors are better off with lighter shades. So that's it about colors here, moving on
to the very next.............

AT THE CHURCH:
The church hall was barely filled with friends and relatives as is the custom in Nigeria, most attendees prefer to come for reception than the church wedding. This isnt the fault of the couple, but attendees should come see the joining, cos that is the most important thing.  For that, they get an 80!

DECOR:
The reception hall was beautifully designed by
WHITE MAGIC DECOR and they are based in Enugu, Nice aisle with the flower droppings and they made sure to create a soft atmosphere by lightening up the royal blue with light blue.Perfect designs and shout to WHITE MAGIC LTD. Also, the reception had a chairman of the event who made sure things went fast and smooth.

For that, they get an 80!

THE TRAIN:
The train was a typical African train with ten ladies
and ten guys, trust me the chics were hot and so were the guys. It was good to see a long train with so much beautiful people, but also train and the length of it is basically the couple's discretion.

WeddingGraces WedReview gives the train a 60!

THE COUPLE:
Hmmmm.... okies, you know most grooms usually don't have issues with their dress code. Most times, its the color they choose thats the subject of discussion
but the attention always tilts to the bride.
  • Dress: WeddingGraces can say boldly that  her dress was beautiful, flayed from the waist and the top was well beaded, nice one! Like is the new fad today at weddings, the brides change from the bridal dress to a "reception dress" which in this case was a mixture of glittering silver and red- good ensemble in consonance with the day's colors. For the dress up, she gets a 75(High Score!)
  • Hair & Make Up: Ella had braids on, which is something some Brides feel comfortable wearing, but styling it could be an issue, so if you're contemplating on wearing braids, its a nice idea but be careful because braids can be very subtle and selective for facial structures. Make up was fine and appropriate enough for the event. WeddingGraces thinks her braids were not soooo wow-ish, and for that, she gets a 20 (Low Score)
We all agree that it is your day and you must actualize all the dreams you ever had for your big day so feel free to wear what makes you happy. BUT (in emphasis), choose a style that brings out your beauty and not make it look like there's too much going on around the head area. She has a wonderful face, but the hair was a complete NO-NO!
THE RECEPTION PROPER
Hmmmm.... okies, you know most grooms usually don't have issues with their dress code. Most times, its the color they choose thats the subject of discussion
but the attention always tilts to the bride.
  • Attendance: WeddingGraces can say that the attendance at the reception was cool and not crowded. They get 75(High Score!)
  • Event Coordination: The Couple did very well in appointing Prince Ozioma Ani as Chairman of the Event as he like most other business-like event bosses who see no need in engaging in frivolities during receptions ensured the reception was tip-top and straight to the point. Because of that, the reception finished on time leaving ample time for dance and networking. Kudos should also be given to the Supporters/Committee of friends who showed up and ensured food and drinks were fully served.
Events Coordination get a 50 (Good Score).
  • Event Compere: Fast rising pidgin comedian & radio OAP Warri Bros was the Mic-Man for the day. His outing was just ok and his jokes however didnt seem to resonate across the audience as expected though, but all the same he gave a nice impression of himself. Later on, he was joined by Jasmine Onyia- blogger and red carpet host, sadly the connection didnt seem to be present between the two even as Warri Bros tried spiritedly to bring her into the mood, she seemed to stray away. WeddingGraces #WedReviewer feels there was no need for two MCs, as the comedian was sufficient to handle the event in his capacity. The Comperes get a 45 (Mid Score)
  • The Music & the Party: Ben & Ella engaged fast-rising Deejay - DJ Slim V as the mixmaster for the day and he did a yeoman's job of mixing both Nigerian hip hop & traditional highlife songs which kept a good chunk of the audience - especially friends dancing even after the event. Music & Party gets a 70 (HIgh Score).
Congratulations all the same to Benjamin & Ella Ozeh
